More than 10,000 anaesthesia procedures are administered at the Elisabeth-Krankenhaus Rheydt of the Städtischen Kliniken Mönchengladbach GmbH every year in the surgery disciplines general, abdominal and vascular surgery, trauma and joint surgery, paediatric surgery, gynaecology and obstetrics, TNE, urology and in the diagnostic therapeutic applications of endoscopy and radiology. Our clinic boasts 10 intensive care unit beds and 10 recovery beds.

An anaesthetic team of experienced expert physicians and nursing staff is available for emergencies 24 hours a day and ready to administer anaesthesia.

The targeted interdisciplinary collaboration with the other expert clinics at our facility makes it possible to provide prompt, optimum treatment to our patients in the surgical suite and on our intensive care unit. In difficult life situations, you will receive the assistance of specially trained intensive care nurses and experienced doctors around the clock.

The treatment concept, which will be custom tailored to your needs, will also include the adequate administration of liquids after longer surgeries and adequate pain therapy, including, if necessary, the administration of oxygen.

Our clinic has the blood depot at its disposal.

Other focal points of our department are emergency medicine, pain therapy and participation in the emergency physician and head emergency physician services of the city of  Mönchengladbach.
